Help with the Google Meet Slack command

Use this page if /meet is asking you to reconnect Google, posting the wrong account, or not returning a Google Meet link in Slack the way you expected.

Quick checks

  • Make sure Meet for Slack is installed in the Slack workspace.
  • Use /meet once and finish the Google authorization flow completely.
  • If you changed or revoked Google access, reconnect the intended account.

Common issues

Most support questions come down to account state

Repeated reconnect prompts

If Slack asks you to connect Google every time, the token may have expired or been revoked. Reconnect once, or remove the app from Google permissions and start fresh.

Wrong Google account

Revoke the current Google connection, then run /meet again and connect the account you want to use for future meeting links.

No link posted to Slack

Confirm the app is installed, your slash command configuration points at the correct Worker URL, and the Google connection completed successfully.

FAQ

Support questions and answers

Why does Slack keep asking me to connect Google again?

That usually means your Google token expired or was revoked. Reconnect your Google account and try /meet again. If the prompt keeps returning, revoke access in Google Account Permissions and reconnect from scratch.

Why was no Google Meet link posted to the channel?

Check that the app is installed in the workspace, the slash command is configured correctly, and your Google account finished connecting. If Slack accepted the command but nothing appeared, reinstalling the app often refreshes permissions.

Can I switch to a different Google account?

Yes. Revoke Meet for Slack in Google Account Permissions, then use /meet again and connect the Google account you want to use going forward.

Does the command work in direct messages and channels?

Yes. You can use /meet in Slack channels and direct messages, as long as the app is available in the workspace.

What data does Meet for Slack store?

Meet for Slack stores your Slack user ID, workspace ID, and Google OAuth tokens so it can create Google Meet links on your behalf. It does not read Slack messages, Gmail, or Google Calendar contents. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I uninstall Meet for Slack?

Open your Slack workspace app settings, remove Meet for Slack, and optionally revoke Google access in Google Account Permissions.
